I've finally retired and moved to Prescott, Arizona. I've been working pretty much non-stop since I left home at 17. I worked full-time jobs while accruing three degrees in Computer Science; and never had a break between jobs.
Now that I'm in my 70's I can honestly say I have no desire to work anymore. I have hobbies to while away the time, and am enjoying the simple pleasures in life.
Having lived in at a multitude of residences (over 20) in 9 different states, mostly in large crowded metropolitan areas with millions of residents I decided a change of scenery was in order.
So in choosing a place to live out my days I looked for a smallish city with temperate weather, low crime and drug activity, copious out door activities, West of the Rockies (low humidity). I only came up with about 5 candidates. Many resort towns West of the Rockies have fairly severe weather patterns.
So here I am in Prescott living in a rental while I build my retirement home. The part of Prescott that I like was built out thirty years ago, so it took me a year to find a
buildable lot in lieu of a fixer-upper.
I'm leaving my LLC in the "active" state in case I do any work for friends, family, or charity.
BTW, if you currently have an LLC, there is a new Federal registration requirement. You can read about it at
US Treasury Financial Crimes BOI Site. Non-compliance carries stiff penalties.
So I've changed this web site by removing technical content adding some life history and a tribute to my wife, who sadly passed away on January 27, 2018.
